My AI employee

Sebastian measures my website with real tools, for Google, Bing and AI search. I decide what gets implemented.

Sebastian has been working for me since August 26, 2026, and there's a finished package for him in the community.

I give Sebastian a URL and a goal: an audit, a follow-up measurement or a GEO check. He reads the website with real tools, never estimated, never from memory, and delivers a project folder with raw data, an evidence-backed assessment for every finding and a prioritized action plan. He doesn't change anything himself, I decide.

A real workday

Numbers from Sebastian's own project folders since he started on August 26, 2026, counted on September 19, 2026, plus a current analysis of kevinwelter.com itself.

183

Microsoft Copilot citations in three months

4,770

Search queries checked in one analysis

On September 19, 2026, Sebastian checked for kevinwelter.com how strong a lever internal linking really is. Of 4,770 distinct search queries, 205 pointed to more than one of my own pages, that's 11,536 of 132,781 impressions, 8.7 percent. The real finding only showed up once he pulled up the affected pages live: a strong overview page simply wasn't linking to the more specific target page for the same search query, in one case even pointing the wrong way.

A second example comes from AI search itself: Microsoft Copilot cited kevinwelter.com 183 times over the last three months, through September 16, 2026, an average of three pages per citation event. The single most-cited page reached 27 citations, against only 8 citations for the page with by far the most Google clicks. Google ranking and AI citation frequency are two separate metrics, one doesn't follow from the other, that's the core finding of his GEO work. Honesty cuts both ways here: on September 18, 2026, an independent cross-check found several factual errors in a content delivery that Sebastian's own review pass had missed. Since then, the fixed rule is to schedule an independent cross-check for large deliveries in addition to his own review, and to verify each finding against the primary source instead of accepting it blindly.

The tools Sebastian works with

His own course in my community shows exactly this chain, from the first measurement to the follow-up:

  • Lighthouse and Unlighthouse for Core Web Vitals, load times and basic technical checks, free and with no sign-up.
  • linkinator for broken internal and external links across an entire website.
  • advertools for structured crawls and bulk analysis of robots.txt, sitemaps and meta data.
  • Playwright CLI for screenshots and real page rendering, including where a simple crawl fails on JavaScript.
  • The PageSpeed Insights API for real-world field data instead of lab data alone.
  • Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, read-only, once a client grants access: search queries, clicks, impressions, indexing status.
  • His own GEO baseline measurements: which pages AI search systems like Microsoft Copilot cite, and how often.

What he can't do, where I approve

  • He changes nothing on his own. Any change to a live website, any URL submission or IndexNow request in someone else's account goes through my explicit approval case by case, even if he could technically make the change himself.
  • He's read-only in other people's accounts. He can read Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools once access is granted, but he can't submit anything. For one client he had to withdraw an already-proposed measure because the Google access was read-only and restricted.
  • No invented numbers, no ranking guarantees. Every figure comes from a saved tool result in his own project folder.
  • He follows crawl etiquette: on a client's shared hosting, at most one request every three to five seconds. An overly aggressive test run once caused a half-hour outage for a client, which he disclosed openly in the audit.
  • Trend topics without evidence, such as llms.txt as a supposed ranking lever, he flags as such instead of selling them.

The path: build it yourself or load the template

Standard: build it yourself

The entry point is my learning path: Learning Claude, then the process for hiring an employee, then the actual build. What's special about Sebastian is that getting started needs no paid tools: Lighthouse, linkinator, Playwright and the PageSpeed Insights API are free, paid tools only get added after explicit approval.

Premium: ready-made template

His course is in Premium ($45 a month): twelve lessons from the first audit through setting up Search Console and Bing to the GEO baseline and the follow-up measurement, published and confirmed by me. Standard ($9 a month) means building it yourself, Premium means loading the finished template and using it. As of September 19, 2026, prices in US dollars per Skool.

Frequently asked questions about Sebastian

Can AI analyze my website for SEO?

Yes, with a fixed tool chain instead of guesswork: Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights for the technical basics, linkinator for broken links, plus Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools once access is granted. Sebastian delivers a project folder with raw data and an evidence-backed assessment for every finding, not an estimated number.

What's the best SEO audit tool?

There's no single best tool, it's a chain: Lighthouse and Unlighthouse for technical checks, linkinator for links, advertools for structured crawls, plus Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools for real click and query data. Only the combination gives a reliable assessment instead of one isolated number.

Can you do SEO yourself, without an agency?

Yes, free tools get you far: Lighthouse, linkinator, Playwright and PageSpeed Insights cost nothing and need no agency. What's usually missing isn't the tool, it's the fixed routine of measuring regularly, documenting findings with evidence, and actually re-measuring after a change instead of implementing it once and moving on.

How do I set up Google Search Console?

Add your domain or URL prefix in Google Search Console, verify ownership via a DNS record or an HTML file, then submit the sitemap URL. Sebastian then reads out search queries, clicks, impressions and indexing status, once he's been granted read-only access to the account. Submissions or account changes stay with me.

How does a website get cited by ChatGPT?

There's no reliable guarantee for that, only observations: Sebastian's own analysis shows Microsoft Copilot cited kevinwelter.com 183 times over three months, and that the most-cited page isn't the same one that gets the most Google clicks. AI citation frequency and Google ranking are two separate metrics, not a guarantee of either.
