AI communities on Skool are among the largest on the platform: four of the ten biggest Skool communities worldwide are about AI or automation, all free and in English, led by AI Automation Society with 470,457 members (SkoolStats, October 2026). My focus here is the German-language market, which I pulled in full with SkoolStats*. There are 342 German-language communities with an AI term in their name, 8.1% of all 4,239 active German-language communities. About two thirds are free. The 91 with a monthly plan charge a median of $39 a month, with a range of $1 to $499. The large ones are almost all free: of the 22 German-language AI communities with at least 1,000 members, only three charge. Which one fits you depends on topic, language, price, activity, calls and courses, not on size alone. I searched for whole words in community names rather than using the tool's free-text search.
I'm not neutral here. My own community Claude Practitioners is a German-language AI community and, according to SkoolStats, ranks 124th of those 342 with 101 members. That's why it isn't in the list but in a section of its own, and I don't judge the other communities. I use SkoolStats free of charge as part of a partnership.

AI communities on Skool worldwide: the largest are free
SkoolStats counted 111,299 active communities across all languages at midday on one day in October 2026 (108,415 the same morning, so the total moves). Tech, the category of the four AI communities below, has 10,867 (9.8%). Among the ten largest communities overall, these four are about AI or automation:
All ten of the largest are free and in English. Everything below is about German-language communities; I didn't analyze global prices, because the tool's filtered global counts looked like estimates.
German-language AI communities in numbers
I use two definitions. Narrow: an AI term is in the community's name. Broad: it's in the name or the short description. The broad set includes communities that mention AI in passing, such as music production "with DAW & KI" (KI is German for AI).
For comparison: 24.6% of all German-language communities are paid, versus 31.9% of AI communities by name. Their $39 median is also above all German-language monthly plans ($33) and the Tech category ($29). Most AI communities are in Tech (263), followed by Money (58), Self-improvement (12) and Hobbies (7).
The 20 largest German-language AI communities
Sorted by members, AI term in name, as of October 2026. Growth compares members with September 14, 2026. Revenue is deliberately left out.
Source: SkoolStats, public listing data, as of October 2026. Names as SkoolStats lists them.
Two notes. "Free" means joining costs nothing; SkoolStats captures one price per community, so a paid tier inside a free group only shows on the About page. And member counts include inactive members; whether a community is still active only shows in its latest posts.
How I searched: whole words, not free-text search
SkoolStats' free-text search matches character strings: "ki" (German for AI) also finds "Kinder" (children) or "Ski", "ai" finds "Training". Filtered to German, "ki" returned 28 pages of 25 results, many without any AI connection.
So I pulled all 4,239 German-language records and searched for whole words, ignoring case. "Agent" doesn't match "Agentur" (agency); "GPT" matches "GPTs".
The method has limits. Language detection is automatic, so mixed-language communities may be misassigned. Only active communities with at least three members count. A community with "AI" glued into its name slips through the word search even though it belongs; "AIYourLife", with two entries of about 2,300 members each, is one such case. And the tool's own search apparently covers a longer text too, so my numbers are more likely lower bounds.
Free or paid: what AI communities charge
233 of the 342 AI communities are free. Of the 109 paid ones, 91 bill monthly at a median of $39, with a quarter below $9.50. Seven charge an annual price, eleven a one-time price. Among the 20 largest, only two are paid, both with an annual or one-time price.
Free doesn't have to mean nothing is for sale: a free community can be the entry point to a program, a course or a paid tier. What that means for members and owners is in Skool Community: Free or Paid?. If you're setting a price yourself, the price data for all categories is in How to Price Your Skool Community.
I don't give revenue figures for individual communities. The revenue column in SkoolStats is an estimate of members times list price and can be far off; why, I show in How Much Do Skool Communities Make?
Claude communities on Skool
For a Claude community on Skool in German, the choice is smaller. Nine German-language communities have "Claude" in their name, 28 mention it in the name or short description. The SkoolStats search for "claude" filtered to German returned 30 results, 13 of them free. The 14 with a monthly price ranged from $8 to $98 (median $32). The largest with Claude in its name is "KI-Roadmap: Von Claude bis n8n", #3 in the table above. I compare the German-language Claude communities in more detail in Claude Community in German: Where?. I haven't analyzed English-language Claude communities.
Where my own community stands
According to SkoolStats, Claude Practitioners (DE) has 101 members (October 2026). That's #124 of 342 AI communities and #1,177 of all 4,239 German-language communities. It was founded in April 2026, and SkoolStats shows 13 new members over the last month (+14.8%). SkoolStats lists 22 courses and a price of $9 a month; it doesn't capture the second tier at $45. At $9, my Standard tier is in the lowest quarter of AI communities with a monthly plan.
These numbers let you judge my community by the same yardstick as the others; they're not a recommendation. How I run it with my AI employees is in Community Management with AI Employees.
How to choose the right Skool AI community
Size isn't a criterion on its own. A large free community offers many readers and questions, a small paid one often more direct contact with the owner. More German-language communities beyond AI are in German Skool Communities: Overview.
Compare for yourself with SkoolStats
If you run or plan a community, you can rebuild this analysis for your topic. In SkoolStats* you filter by language, category and keyword, see growth over a week, a month or three months, and compare up to ten communities in one chart. SkoolStats is an independent tool and not part of Skool. According to its pricing page it costs €149 a month or €1,499 a year, with no free tier and no trial (as of October 2026). Without an account there's a fixed example search of paid AI communities with more than 1,000 members. More on the tool in SkoolStats Review: Skool Benchmarks.
If you use the comparison to find partners, reach out through the channels the owners offer themselves. In Germany, marketing emails without prior consent are generally not allowed, even between businesses (Section 7 of the German Unfair Competition Act, UWG). This isn't legal advice.
Frequently asked questions
What are the biggest AI communities on Skool?
Worldwide, according to SkoolStats in October 2026: AI Automation Society (470,457 members), AI Automation Agency Hub (336,102), AI Automation (A-Z) and The AI Advantage, all free and in English. In German, the largest are KI-CHAMPIONS Community, KI Agenten and KI-Roadmap: Von Claude bis n8n, each with over 10,000 members.
Are AI communities on Skool free?
Most of them. 233 of the 342 German-language AI communities are free, as are 18 of the 20 largest and all four of the largest worldwide. The 91 with a monthly plan charge a median of $39. Free only means joining costs nothing: a paid tier or a program outside Skool shows on the About page.
Which are the best AI Skool communities?
There's no best one in general; it depends on what you want. Check topic, language, price, activity, calls and courses on the About page. Join two or three free communities, see where your questions get answered, and stay there. Size says nothing about how active a community is.
Is there a German AI community on Skool?
Yes, 342 by my narrow count: German-language communities with an AI term such as KI, AI, Claude, ChatGPT, n8n or Agent in their name, as of October 2026. About two thirds are free. The table above lists the 20 largest with price, growth and founding date.
